OOPS!—BUT STILL GOOD FOR NEXT YEAR
Despite losing their last game after 18 consecutive victories, the Patriots are still favored for next year’s Super Bowl by the oddsmakers, including Jay Kornegay, executive director of the Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook. The SuperBook has installed New England at 5-2 favorites to win next year’s championship. Other contenders include; Giants at 14-1, Cowboys 7-1, Packers 14-1, Colts and Chargers both at 8-1, Jaguars 15-1, and the Steelers at 20-1.

SPIRIT OF THE DANCE
The Chinese New Year will be celebrated in style at the Las Vegas Hilton with a lion and dragon dance on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The traditional dance chases away evil and brings in wealth, good health and long life. The Lohan School of Shaolin will present the 63-ft long dragon (lions, too) in the main casino. Chrissi Scinta will be singing the National Anthem and “God Bless America” at the “Go Red For Women” American Heart Association luncheon on February 27. The Scintas, the Buffalo, New York foursome who seven years ago won the heart of Las Vegas, perform their new show, “Laugh Out Loud with The Scintas,” in Shimmer Cabaret at the Las Vegas Hilton, Fridays through Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m.
