Barry Manilow, who headlines at the Las Vegas Hilton, appears tonight (October 31) on NBC’s“The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and tomorrow (November 1) on CBS’s “The Craig Ferguson Show.” He returns to the Las Vegas Hilton November 6-10, 14-17, 27-30, and December 1.
Only at the Las Vegas Hilton can you get a $250,000 game show and a $250,000 jackpot in the same month. Marilyn Bowen won $250,000 playing slots October 22 at the Las Vegas Hilton. She won it in the same month that Bob Eubanks, along with Chuck Woolery and Jamie Farr brought some of America's most recognizable game shows together for the first time on one stage at the Las Vegas Hilton. The trio serves as rotating hosts of the “$250,000 Game Show Spectacular,” which started October 8. The $250K GSS has more winners on stage (more than 50 per show at nine shows a week) and gives away more money and prizes (more than $50,000 each week in guaranteed cash and prizes) than any other live game show in recent history. Showtimes are Monday – Saturday 1:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. Wonder if Marilyn Bowen wants to try to double her money?
“Lunchtime With Ira, Live from the Las Vegas Hilton,” a weekly Television/Radio/Internet show that promotes Las Vegas, begins its third season in November with broadcasts on Clark County Television (CCTV), NEWS/TALK 720 KDWN, and www.lvhilton.com. The show, produced live every Monday at Noon, features host Ira David Sternberg talking with the celebrities, entertainers, writers, personalities and community leaders who make Las Vegas the most exciting city in the world.
Michael Njoroge has joined the Las Vegas Hilton as executive chef. His extensive background includes stints as corporate executive chef at Barrick Gaming Corporation, executive chef at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, and chef at the famous Andre’s French Restaurant. Chef Njoroge will be putting his stamp on the 16 restaurants and outlets at the classic resort.
Clearly the two best teams in the NFL are the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts, says Jay Kornegay, executive director or the Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook. They will meet this Sunday, November 4 in what some fans are calling the preview of the championship. The Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook has the Patriots a six- point favorite over the defending champion Colts despite the game taking place in Indianapolis. This match-up will be the feature game at “Football Central” this Sunday in the Hilton Theater, which offers 11 giant screens, more than 1,500 seats, food/drink specials, and great giveaways. Current odds are always posted at the SuperBook.
Gigi Aljabi was recently promoted to executive director of Middle Eastern marketing for the Las Vegas Hilton. Prior to her promotion, she served as executive host. Wendy Au has been named executive director of Asian Marketing. Prior to her promotion, she was director of player development for Asian marketing. Two new hosts for the Latin marketing department: Rosa Leon and Theodore Thymianos.
The Las Vegas Hilton will be hosting the 5th Annual Lee’s Wine Experience Saturday, November 10, 2007 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Hilton Center Barron Room. We currently expect about 3,500 people to attend mostly Las Vegas valley residents. Tickets are available to purchase at all Lee’s Discount Liquor stores for $40.00 per person or $50.00 at the door.
This Monday, the Las Vegas Hilton hosts its annual Employee Talent Show, with 15 acts including singing, dancing and playing guitar. Media judges for the annual event are Suzie Ansilio, Morning show personality on Fresh 102.7; John Katsilometes, Writer-at-large for Greenspun Media Group; and Chris Saldaña, General Assignment Reporter, KLAS-TV.
