FOOTBALL TAKING SHAPE
After two weeks into the regular season the favorites and the not-so favorites are starting to take shape in pro football. The New England Patriots were the popular bet over the summer with their new acquisitions and continue to be the top choice to win it all. The latest odds at the Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook have the Patriots at 7-4 (every $4 wins $7 pays $11). The second choice is now the Colts at 6-1 with the Chargers now coming in third at 7-1 after their poor performance in New England. Other contenders include the Bear and Cowboys at 12-1. Who are the longest shots on the board after week two? The Bills, Falcons, and Chiefs are posted at 500-1 to turn their seasons around. For all the current odds, please visit the SuperBook.

ONE A SCINTA, TWO A SCINTA, THREE A SCINTA, FOUR (AS IN PETE)
“Irish Scinta” Peter O’Donnell is a member of the close-knit Scinta clan in every sense of the word. They’ll debut their new show, “Laugh Out Loud with The Scintas,”at the Las Vegas Hilton September 24. Before he joined The Scintas in 1988, the Buffalo native studied with Louis Marino, drummer for Billie Holiday. He played gigs with more than 700 bands, noting, “I lost count after 700.” His role with The Scintas is a critical one, as he keeps the rhythm going (literally) and provides comic counterpoint to the rest of the group.

800 AND COUNTING
Menopause The Musical® at the Las Vegas Hilton recently celebrated its 800th show and producers Alan and Kathy Glist came on stage after the performance to present flowers to the cast (actually both casts, since the show is so popular it requires alternating casts on a nightly basis). The celebration continued with a party at the Hilton’s Tempo Lounge. Menopause The Musical® opened at the Hilton on February 1, 2006, and became an immediate hit.
