SUPERCONTEST MEANS SUPER BUCKS
The football season is fast approaching and the Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook is again the sponsor for the biggest and most respected football handicapping contest in the country, the SuperContest. Entrants put up $1,500 each to match their football handicapping skills against seasoned vets and newcomers, as well. Participants pick five games each week against the spread during the pro football regular season. The best record over 17 weeks will hoist the top prize (last year’s winner collected $259,600). Cash prizes are awarded to the top 20. Players entering the SuperContest before 4 p.m. on September 3 will also qualify for a $10,000 bonus. All entries must be in by 1 p.m. Friday, September 7. MANILOW FUND CONTINUES FIGHT
The Manilow Fund for Health and Hope, which contributed to the AFAN walk in Las Vegas, is also joining the Los Angeles fight against AIDS. They have created a team for the 23rd annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles, which takes place in West Hollywood, California on Sunday, October 21, 2007. The length of the walk: 6.2 miles long. In 2006, the AIDS Walk LA had 20,000 participants and raised more than $3.7 million.. Barry Manilow returns to headline at the Las Vegas Hilton September 25-29.

HOT SOUNDS OF SUMMER CONTINUES
The Las Vegas Hilton continues its “Sounds of Summer Concert Series” with Latin diva Ana Gabriel (August 18); legendary band Earth, Wind & Fire (August 23-25); Heart (September 1-2); Marco Antonio Solis (September 15-16); and superstar duo Brooks & Dunn (September 19-22).

Earth, Wind & Fire, headlining at the Las Vegas Hilton August 23-25, has received 20 Grammy Award nominations and won six.

“Lunchtime With Ira, Live from the Las Vegas Hilton,” a Television-Radio-Internet show that normally broadcasts from the Hilton’s Shimmer Cabaret, is on its weekly “Vegas Summer Tour” around the city. HOW ABOUT A SHOT OF TEJANO?
The National Tejano Music Convention & Vegas Revue, scheduled August 17–18 will attract more than 4,000 delegates in Las Vegas. Exhibits will be set up at the Las Vegas Hilton and a Tex-Mex Special Achievement Awards and Tejano Revue Concert and Dance will be held at the Hilton Center.
