The “World Series of Blackjack” season launches on Monday, June 4 at 8 p.m. on GSN, “The Network for Games.” Each week, a new episode will debut in that Monday 11 p.m. time slot, along with another repeat on Tuesday night at 11 p.m. The season runs 13 weeks through to the final table, on Monday, August 27. GSN is carried on all major cable networks as well as DirecTV and Dish Network nationwide. The finals were taped at the Las Vegas Hilton, and the series features several Las Vegas Hilton players.

MANILOW QUIZ

STILL FAMILY
After 12 years together as a band and nearly 10 years after emerging on the national scene with their first #1 hit, “Walkin’ on the Sun,” all three co-founding members of Smash Mouth – Steve Harwell, Greg Camp, and Paul DeLisle – are as tight today as they were the day they first jammed together in their hometown of San Jose. Smash Mouth performs at the Las Vegas Hilton July 6-7.

WHAT OFF-SEASON? THERE IS NO OFF-SEASON
Even during the off-season, the Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook tries to satisfy all football fans. Recently, the SuperBook posted spreads for week #1 in the NFL; over/under regular season wins; and, just this week posted “NFL Games of the Year.” The staff of the SuperBook selects five of the best games each week of the NFL regular season and posts the spreads for these games. SUMMERTIME AND THE LIVING IS HAMBURGER
The grills are coming out for summer and the Las Vegas Hilton is ready with its new Hamburger Festival, which starts tomorrow (Thursday) in its Paradise Café. The Hamburger Festival features an array of great burgers as the latest menu offerings in the popular eatery. The two-fisted, 10-ounce gourmet hamburgers are made from the finest ground Black Angus steak and served on a grilled sesame seed bun and presented with lettuce, onion, tomato, dill pickle and crisp fries. Some samples off the Festival menu: The All American Hamburger; the Classic Cheeseburger; the Mushroom Gorgonzola, piled high with sautéed mushrooms and crumbled gorgonzola blue cheese; the Southwestern, built with jack cheese, jalapenos, pico de gallo and guacamole; and the Ultimate Double, featuring two ground black Angus burgers with sautéed mushroom, applewood smoked bacon and choice of cheese.

FAST FOR THE FEAST
The Las Vegas Hilton’s Memorial Day Weekend Feast (Friday, May 25 to Sunday, May 27, 5 p.m.-10 p.m.), features a vast display of more than 60 seasonal menu items, including (from the carving board), spit roasted suckling pig; slow roasted prime rib of beef; oven roasted turkey with natural pan gravy; and artisan flatbread pizzas. There are also salads, BBQ, Mexican and Chinese, and a great selection of seafood.

TAKING A POWDER…TO THE LAS VEGAS HILTON
The American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) is holding its June program (June 10 –11) at the Las Vegas Hilton. AACS is a national, non-profit association open to all privately-owned schools of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences. Through a series of seminars, conferences, and conventions held throughout the year, AACS specializes in updating members with information about new teaching methods and current industry events.
