WALK FOR CAUSE
The Manilow Fund for Health and Hope is sponsoring the 2007 Las Vegas AIDS Walk on Sunday, April 15. PAUSING FOR THE 600TH
Last Saturday evening’s production of Menopause The Musical® marks the 600th show of the popular musical at the Las Vegas Hilton. The Las Vegas production opened at the Las Vegas Hilton on February 1, 2006. In order to meet demand, the producers have organized two separate casts. Showtimes are Mon. & Tues., Thurs. & Fri. 7:00 p.m., Wed. 2:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m., Sat. & Sun 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m.

STARDUST MEMORIES WITH LEE
Steven Lee, musical director for Sunset Strip at the Las Vegas Hilton, is currently involved in a recording project for the award-winning Cuban band “3rd Dimension,” formerly of “Havana Nights,” which premiered at the Stardust Hotel.

900 ANKA SONGS - AND COUNTING
Paul Anka, who marks his 50th anniversary in music and nearly five decades performing in Las Vegas with an exclusive appearance at the Las Vegas Hilton May 4 & 5, has written a staggering 900 songs--130 recorded by other artists including Elvis Presley, Barbra Streisand, Linda Ronstadt, and Robbie Williams. He is particularly well-known for penning signature songs for others, notably "It Doesn't Matter Anymore" (Buddy Holly), "She's a Lady" (Tom Jones), "Puppy Love" (Donny Osmond) and, of course, "My Way" (Frank Sinatra).

COINLESS IN LAS VEGAS
The Las Vegas Hilton will go coinless on Monday, with the installation of the NRT redemption kiosks. Players will be able to redeem their jackpot winnings using e-tickets as well as get change from bills.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Las Vegas Hilton employees gathered more than a ton of food for a Catholic Charities’ “April Foods Day” event. Bins were set up throughout the property for employees to drop off canned goods and non-perishable food items.

SKATING ON THIN VEGAS
Las Vegas resident Stephanie Rigley, representing Team USA in Ice Skating, won the first place 2007 Morges Cup in Morges, Switzerland April 1. The Morge competition is considered an important step for young elite skaters. Stephanie is the daughter of Frank Rigley, vice president of food and beverage operations for the Las Vegas Hilton.

The National Association of Broadcasters will be holding its convention in Las Vegas April 15-18.The Radio and Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) will be headquartered during that time at the Las Vegas Hilton. RTNDA is the world’s largest professional organization devoted exclusively to electronic journalism. The association represents local and network news professionals in broadcasting, cable and other electronic media in more than 30 countries.
