HOW DO YOU HAVE TIME TO SING IF YOU KEEP GETTING NOMINATED?
Brooks & Dunn, who are headlining at the Las Vegas Hilton March 7-10, received seven nominations for the 42nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, including: Entertainer of the Year, Top Vocal Duo, Album of the Year for Hillbilly Deluxe (presented to artist and producer), Video of the Year for “Hillbilly Deluxe,” and Vocal Event of the Year for Building Bridges with Vince Gill and Sheryl Crow. They have previously been awarded 21 Academy of Country Music Awards as a duo, with Ronnie Dunn having received 22 Academy of Country Music Awards in total. The CMA Awards will be broadcast May 15.

MANILOW FUND HELPING IN LAS VEGAS
The Manilow Fund for Health and Hope will be a presenting sponsor of the 2007 AIDS Walk Las Vegas, an annual fundraiser for AFAN (Aid for AIDS of Nevada). The Walk will be held in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 15. All the money raised will go directly to educational outreach, housing assistance, transportation, the Lisa B Grocery Center, and other AFAN services and programs. Barry Manilow headlines with Manilow: Music and Passion at the Las Vegas Hilton through 2008. He returns to the Hilton Theater March 13-17 and 21-24.

VINCENT AND VINCE
Joe Piscopo, who headlines in Shimmer Cabaret at the Las Vegas Hilton (Sundays-Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m.) with Vincent Falcone and his sextet, starred on Broadway as disc jockey Vince Fontaine in “Grease” in 1996. Vince may have been a disc jockey, but Vincent Falcone conducted for Frank Sinatra as well as such music greats as Andy Williams, Jack Jones, Sammy Davis Jr., Jerry Lewis, the McGuire Sisters, Tony Bennett, Connie Francis, Paul Anka, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme.

SINGING IN THE FAYNE
The Las Vegas Tenors (Bill Fayne, Bobby Black, Mark Giovi, and Teddy Davey) join Ira on this Monday’s “Lunchtime With Ira, Live From The Las Vegas Hilton.” Ira talks with the celebrities, entertainers, writers and personalities who make Las Vegas the most exciting city in the world. NASCAR HITS LAS VEGAS-FIGURATIVELY
The entertainment capital of the world keeps driving, with the top NASCAR drivers in for this week’s UAW-Daimler Chrysler 400. The race will be run on the new track this Sunday, March 11. The Las Vegas Hilton SuperBook will be offering odds to win, over/under finishing positions and more than 30 different match-ups. Defending champion Jimmie Johnson is 6-1 to defend his title. Others include Tony Stewart 6-1, Jeff Gordon 10-1, Matt Kenseth 8-1, and Las Vegans Kyle and Kurt Busch are 18/1 and 25/1 respectively. Along with a slew of props, the SuperBook will also be offering odds and match-ups for the Busch race scheduled to run on Saturday, March 9.

MARCH MADNESS ON THE BIG SCREEN
The Las Vegas Hilton, following up on the success of its “Football Central,” has put together “Hoops Central.” The first day of action begins on Thursday, March 15 in the Hilton’s Superbook. Then it’s free admission to the Hilton Theater on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 16-18, where 65 teams compete on four giant screens. Doors open at 9 a.m. each day.

NOODLING DURING LUNCH
The 888 Noodle Bar at the Las Vegas Hilton, which has been open only for dinner since it opened last year, has lunch hours as well. The bar features Pan-Asian noodles, congee, and rice dishes, as well as other Asian specialties prepared by expert chefs in an open exhibition kitchen. Appetizers, soups and salads range from $7 to $9 and entrees range from $10 to $28. 888 Noodle Bar is located in the heart of Benihana Village at the Las Vegas Hilton and is open 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m-8:00 p.m. Reservations are not required (guests are served on a first come first serve basis). Now that the Noodle Bar has extended its hours, check it out, but Wok, don’t run.

HOW MANY CHEFS CAN YOU STUFF IN A BENIHANA BUS?
One of the DEUCE Double Decker buses, which make a 17.25-mile loop along the Las Vegas Strip, is wrapped with Benihana (an institution at the Las Vegas Hilton). On Thursday, 30 members of the Benihana staff will meet the bus at the Hilton to pose for a group photo. No word on whether chicken, shrimp, steak or lobster will be grilled on board.

NEW NAMES AND MENU CHANGES FOR TWO HILTON RESTAURANTS
Two of the Las Vegas Hilton’s popular restaurants are being renamed on Thursday, March 8. The Hilton Steakhouse, which was extensively remodeled in the last several weeks, will reopen with a new name, a new look, and an upgraded menu. The new name: TJ’s Steakhouse. TJ’s Steakhouse will feature a warm, classic setting with rich mahogany furniture and distinctive nostalgic art. Andiamo, which just celebrated its 20-year anniversary, also will sport a new name: Casa Nicola. It will also feature an enhanced menu and will continue featuring authentic flavors of Italy. RICKS’ RETIREMENT
The Las Vegas Hilton has a great history since opening as the International on July 2, 1969. Part of that ongoing legacy is the employees who have been here since the beginning. Joyce Ricks, a pantry worker, was one of the originals and she retired today after 38 years. Congratulations!
